Muscat: Select batches of Huggies diapers are being recalled from distributors and stores in Oman by the Olayan Kimberly-Clark, due to a quality issue.
The step was taken because of an issue with the adhesive used in the manufacturing process which, when exposed to high temperatures is causing the diapers to stick together in the pack.
The recall is being taken is cooperation and transparency with the concerned authorities.
The recall includes Huggies diaper active sizes 3/4/4+/5 with green Huggies logos and production line code CZ 09 (LOT CZ16223091232 162). No other products of Huggies are included in the recall.
“Olayan Kimberly-Clark takes the upmost care to manufacture quality products and has stringent control procedures in places to ensure that the highest production standards are maintained. However on this occasion we know that these diapers may not perform to the high level we expect and we believe that our consumers may share this opinion too.
“We apologize for this situation and to any consumers we have disappointed,” a company statement added.
With products like Kleenex, Scott, Kotes and several other under its umbrella, the Olayan-Kimberly Clark are longstanding strategic partners in the Arabian Gulf and the organization was formed as a joint venture company in 1992.
