
Muscat : The Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Rwanda at Al Hosn Palace in Salalah, Dhofar Governorate on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign , met this morning at Al Hosn Palace in Salalah with His Excellency Olivier Jean Patrick Nduhungirehe, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Rwanda, on the sidelines of the official visit of His Excellency President Paul Kagame of the Republic of Rwanda to the Sultanate of Oman.
The two ministers affirmed their commitment to developing a follow-up program to the visit's outcomes and the trajectory of the growing relations between the two countries. They discussed ways to build upon the current momentum and propel these relations towards a more diversified and interconnected partnership based on mutual investment, the development of value-added projects, and the strengthening of economic and logistical ties between Oman and Rwanda.
They also discussed opportunities to translate existing understandings and agreements into practical programs and projects in priority sectors, and to encourage partnerships between public and private sector institutions. This aims to expand shared economic interests and open new avenues for trade, investment, and knowledge exchange.
The two ministers exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common interest, and stressed the importance of continuing consultation and coordination, and taking advantage of the position and potential of the two countries in building broader bridges of cooperation and communication between Oman and East Africa.
