Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, will join its counterparts from around the world on Wednesday in observing International Youth Day, which falls annually on 12 August.
This participation underscores the critical importance of youth as the cornerstone of development and the architects of future civilizational progress.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth affirmed that Omani youth are an integral part of the nation's growth trajectory, actively contributing to shaping both the present and the future of the country.
In order to further strengthen their role across various domains of national endeavour, the Ministry—through the Directorate General of Youth—has continued its efforts throughout 2025 and 2026 to build communication bridges with young people, listen to their views and aspirations, and provide safe environments for dialogue on issues that affect and empower youth engagement.
