Figures issued by Oman Housing Bank also indicated that the total financial value of housing finances provided by the bank's branch in Al Buraimi Governorate until mid-June 2026 exceeded OMR106.9 million.

These figures reflect the bank's developmental impact in the governorate by supporting the construction of new housing, stimulating urban movement, and revitalizing economic sectors associated with building and construction, in alignment with the targets of Oman Vision 2040 to enhance quality of life and achieve sustainable urban development.

Moosa Masoud Al Jadeedi, CEO of Oman Housing Bank, emphasized in a statement to Oman News Agency (ONA) the bank's continued support for urban development in South Al Batinah Governorate through providing financing solutions that enable citizens to own their homes and enhance family and social stability.

He noted that statistics confirm the bank's success in accelerating the pace of financing and offering diverse options that meet citizens' aspirations.

He said that the bank is keen to provide an integrated system of financing solutions across various governorates by building strategic partnerships with real estate developers.

It has signed cooperation agreements with accredited developers currently numbering 11 real estate developers to execute integrated residential neighborhood projects in the governorate, most notably the "Al Azm" neighborhood project in the Wilayat of A’Rustaq, and the "Al Naseem" neighborhood project in the Wilayat of Barka within the "Surouh" initiative.

He added that the bank offers citizens multiple advantages, most prominently obtaining financing without waiting in line, raising the financing ceiling to OMR 80,000, and simplifying procedures through direct coordination with real estate developers and via the "Iskan" platform, which contributes to boosting housing supply and elevating project quality.

Regarding the performance of the "Iskan" program, the CEO of Oman Housing Bank explained that since its launch in January 2024 until mid-June 2026, the program has achieved positive results, financing 8,731 Omani families with a total value exceeding OMR424 million across various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, drawing on a strategic partnership with 11 conventional and Islamic banks to offer greater flexibility and accelerate the processing of applications.

He noted that the "Iskan" program is considered one of the most prominent national projects that contributed to redesigning the journey of obtaining housing finance, raising procedural efficiency, and reducing waiting periods, in line with the targets of digital transformation and "Oman Vision 2040."

As for Al Buraimi Governorate, the CEO of Oman Housing Bank pointed out in a statement to Oman News Agency (ONA) that the financing provided by the bank enabled more than 2,900 Omani families to build or own their private residences, noting that reducing the waiting period to obtain loans from four years to just six months represented a fundamental turning point in the speed of meeting housing demands, enabling citizens to execute their housing projects in record time.

He explained that these finances directly contributed to driving urban development and enhancing family and community stability in the governorate's wilayats.

He mentioned that building new homes topped the list of beneficiaries' requests, followed by the option of purchasing new homes, and then financing land purchases.

He emphasised that the bank is keen to ensure a balanced distribution of financing services among the governorate's three wilayats and their affiliated villages, in accordance with approved eligibility criteria based on the principles of transparency and equal opportunity.

Regarding the tangible economic role of these finances, Moosa Masoud Al Jadeedi, CEO of the Oman Housing Bank, said that these finances contributed to revitalizing the construction sector and its associated activities, including contracting companies, engineering offices, building material suppliers, and small and medium enterprises.

Concluding his statement, he emphasized that providing soft loans to low- and middle-income segments comes at the top of the bank's priorities to elevate quality of life and social welfare levels, in line with the national targets of Oman Vision 2040 to achieve sustainable development and balanced urban expansion.
