Six Halwa manufacturers inspected in Oman

Muscat: Municipal authorities of Muscat Governorate have taken action against two Omani Halwa kitchens for not complying with health requirements.

In a statement issued online, Muscat Municipality said, "The Food Control department at Muscat Municipality's General Directorate in Seeb, carried out an inspection campaign on 6 Omani Halwa factories to ensure that workers adhere to the principles of hygienic handling, personal hygiene, safety of the Halwa preparation site and the extent of compliance with all health requirements."

The statement added: "The visit resulted in a violation by two manufacturers for not complying with the health requirements."
