40 km stretch of dual carriageway inaugurated in Oman

Muscat: A 40 km stretch of the Adam-Haima-Thumrait dual carriageway was inaugurated by the Ministry of Transport and Communication on Thursday.

The new stretch of the road was inaugurated in the presence of specialists and engineers.

According to the Ministry, "the opening of this dual carriageway road will facilitate a smooth flow of traffic in Al Wusta. It will also add to the economic, social and tourism movement in the area along the route and in the Governorate of Dhofar, especially during the fall."

The opened section of the road includes two lanes in each direction with a width of 3.75m per lane. It also has an upper intersection serving Al Awofia area in wilayat of Bahla and it is adjacent areas.
