Over 125 cultural and artistic events scheduled for Khareef Dhofar Season 2026

Muscat: Dhofar Municipality has announced that the events for the Khareef Dhofar Season 2026 will officially launch on June 21st and continue until September 21st.

The upcoming season will feature 125 distinct cultural, artistic, sporting, and entertainment events. This extensive lineup is part of a strategic vision to enhance the governorate's position as a comprehensive tourist and cultural destination.

His Excellency the Chairman of Dhofar Municipality stated that the 2026 season focuses heavily on developing the identity of local tourist sites while offering world-class performances and high-quality programs. These initiatives aim to enrich the visitor experience and reflect the natural and cultural assets of the Dhofar Governorate.

Key highlights for this season include:

• The second edition of the Dhofar International Theatre Festival.
• The inaugural edition of the Dhofar International Sculpture Festival.
• Traditional symphonic and choral performances.
• Stand-up comedy shows alongside various sporting, heritage, and cultural events.
