Ibri-Yanqul dual carriageway open for traffic

Muscat: The Ministry Of Transport and Communications (MOTC) celebrated the opening of the second part of the Ibri-Yanqul dual carriageway road today for traffic.

MOTC said in a statement online: "This opening comes as a completion to the 17km stretch which was opened previously, thus taking the total opened length to 25 km out of 34 km from the total length of the whole project which is currently under construction."

"The cross-section of the road includes 3m total lane width on each side, 2.5m wide asphalt external shoulders, 1.5m wide asphalt internal shoulders, 4m cross median, 10 roundabouts and 3 underpasses for vehicles."
