Muscat : Temperatures may reach 50 degrees Celsius in the Sultanate of Oman from Monday, June 8, 2026 and continue for several days, Oman Meteorology said.
Forecasts indicate high temperatures along the coastal areas of the Sea of Oman starting tomorrow, Monday, June 8th, and continuing for several days. Temperatures are expected to range in the mid-40s and may reach 50 degrees Celsius in some areas.
The upper-level high-pressure system that has been present recently is one of the main reasons for the current high temperatures, in addition to the dry northwesterly winds and other factors.
The rest of the Sultanate is expected to experience temperatures in the mid-40s, while the weather will remain more moderate along the coastal areas of Al Wusta and Dhofar Governorates.
Recommendations:
Avoid direct sunlight, especially during midday.
Drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration.
