Omani pilgrims in Mina celebrate Eid Al-Adha with traditional customs and joyful gatherings

Mina: The Omani pilgrims’ camp in Mina witnessed an atmosphere of tranquility, spirituality and joy as pilgrims celebrated the blessed days of Eid Al-Adha after completing the main Hajj rituals.

Omani pilgrims exchanged Eid greetings and congratulations inside the Mina camps, while many prepared traditional Omani dishes and wore authentic Omani attire after leaving the state of Ihram.

Kamal bin Hamid Al-Muslihi, one of the Omani pilgrims, said that pilgrims from the Sultanate of Oman are keen to preserve inherited Omani traditions during their stay in Mina by exchanging Eid greetings and preparing traditional foods in an atmosphere filled with happiness and gratitude for completing the pilgrimage and visiting the Sacred House of Allah.

He added that Omani pilgrims’ camps during the days of Tashreeq witnessed vibrant social customs linked to Omani heritage, including serving Omani sweets and coffee to fellow pilgrims and guests, while visits continue between camps in a reflection of the values of generosity, hospitality and brotherhood that characterize Omani society.

Ahmed bin Salem Al-Shariqi said the Mina camp was filled with calmness and peace, while the sounds of Eid takbirs and remembrance of Allah echoed throughout the area in celebration and glorification of the sacred rituals. He noted that the atmosphere of joy and festivity reflects customs Omanis are keen to uphold during travel and religious occasions.

The Omani Hajj Mission annually prepares Mina camps to accommodate pilgrims from the Sultanate of Oman during the Day of Tarwiyah and the days of Tashreeq, ensuring they can perform Hajj rituals with ease, comfort and safety while celebrating Eid Al-Adha in accordance with the regulations designed to protect pilgrims.
