Halal Expo 2026 opens in Kazan with extensive Omani participation

Kazan: The Sultanate of Oman began its participation in the Halal Expo 2026 exhibition and forum, which opened today in the city of Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan, the Russian Federation.

The event is held as part of the International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World,” featuring wide participation from government delegations, companies, and economic institutions from across the globe.

The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, represented by “Oman Exports,” is organizing the Sultanate of Oman’s pavilion in cooperation with the SMEs Development Authority “Riyada”. The pavilion includes 11 Omani companies representing several promising economic sectors, including fisheries, construction and building, pharmaceuticals, food, and services, alongside the participation of more than 50 businesspeople and representatives of Omani companies.

The Sultanate of Oman’s participation in this international event comes within the efforts of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion to enhance the presence of Omani products in global markets, explore new export opportunities, and build trade and investment partnerships with promising markets. These efforts contribute to the development of non-oil exports and the achievement of Oman Vision 2040 objectives related to diversifying the national economy and enhancing the competitiveness of national products.

The “Halal Expo” forum and exhibition is considered one of the most prominent international events specialized in the fields of the Islamic economy and the halal industry. It brings together manufacturers and economic and investment decision-makers from various countries, serving as a dialogue and commercial platform aimed at strengthening economic cooperation, establishing partnerships between exporters and importers, and opening new horizons for strategic partnerships between nations, while also promoting promising investment opportunities in the Sultanate of Oman.

The exhibition is witnessing a broad international presence and distinguished participation from exhibiting companies and institutions. Over the course of three days, the event will feature panel sessions and bilateral meetings to discuss the future of the halal industry, investment opportunities, modern technologies, food security, and the development of supply chains and logistics related to Islamic markets.
