Joint efforts to expedite flow of shipments from Gulf ports to Oman

Muscat: Relevant authorities have worked to streamline customs clearance procedures for shipments, thereby enhancing the smooth flow of supplies, in light of the challenges faced by a number of suppliers to the Sultanate of Oman via some Gulf ports.

The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP) called upon commercial and industrial establishments facing challenges in delivering their shipments to the Sultanate of Oman to take one of the following actions:

1. Challenges related to customs procedures: Contact Dubai Customs via email at 8001886@dubaicustoms.ae or through the hotline +8001886971 (available 24/7).

2. Challenges related to Jebel Ali Port and operational services: Contact Jebel Ali Port via email at customerservice@dpworld.com.

For other challenges, establishments were asked to contact the Ministry directly via email at c.office@tejarah.gov.om.

The Ministry said all relevant shipment documents, including details of the affected shipments, the shipping company's name, and the type of products, should be attached.

It added that the information should be submitted by completing the attached form and scanning the QR code to enable specialists to coordinate directly with the relevant authorities.
