Sur:The fourth edition of the “Memory of a Nation” mobile documentary exhibition, organized by the National Records and Archives Authority (NRAA) in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, showcased more than 200 historical documents alongside interactive digital content embodying Omani glories throughout the ages.
Held at Lubaba bint Al Harith School in the Wilayat of Sur, the exhibition follows a knowledge-sharing tour that covered the various wilayats of South Al Sharqiyah Governorate.
The first stop of the exhibition began in the Wilayat of Masirah before continuing its journey across the governorate’s wilayats, concluding its activities in the Wilayat of Sur on 28-29 April. The event witnessed significant engagement from students and educational staff alike.
Abdullah Ali Al Fouri, Director General of Education in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, stated that the cooperation between the Ministry of Education and the National Records and Archives Authority constitutes an important pillar in building the personality of the Omani student.

The exhibition featured an interactive educational experience using modern display methods covering several themes, including the international relations of the Sultanate of Oman, the evolution of education, and historical correspondence related to South Al Sharqiyah Governorate. This approach attracted various segments of the school community.
The organisation of this exhibition is part of the National Records and Archives Authority’s efforts to disseminate documentary culture and raise awareness of the importance of records in preserving national history.
