Muscat: Following an airport-wide strike called on 5 and 6 August by Heathrow Airport staff over a pay dispute, Oman Air has issued a statement for travellers using Heathrow Airport on those dates. In an online statement, Oman’s national carrier said: “ In view of the notified strike at London’s Heathrow Airport on 5th and 6th August, Oman Air will endeavour to operate our scheduled flights as published. We advise guests travelling over this period to minimise carriage of hand luggage and to arrive at Heathrow Airport as early as practical." "Guests are also advised to check-in online. Please continue to monitor our website and official social media channels for the latest updates on our operations. We regret any inconvenience caused and will do everything possible to minimise disruptions to your travel experience,” the statement added.
