OMR200m investment in Madinat Al Irfan project in Oman

Muscat: Mahmoud bin Mohammed Al Jarwani, Chairman of Al Jarwani Group said that the group will invest about OMR200 million in the Madinat Al Irfan through the establishment of an integrated city with hotels, shopping malls, recreational centres and walkway in Governorate of Muscat.
He added that their investments in both Muscat and Sohar is going according to scheduled plans, as more than 70 per cent of the Palm Mall project Muscat has been completed.
He said that the project will be a destination for Omani families as it includes recreational centres and a hotel with 150 rooms, and a shopping mall that includes the most prestigious brands.
He pointed out that the group is investing between OMR115 to OMR150 million in the Palm Mall Muscat project in Al Mabaila neighbourhood, which is an important centre and station.
At a press meeting held at the site of Palm Mall Muscat project in Al Mabaila neighbourhood yesterday, Al Jarwani said that the project is located on a total area of 250,000 square metres with an investment of nearly OMR115 million and seeks to provide 4,500-5,000 direct and indirect jobs.
Palm Mall Muscat project got the distinct components to be the first of its kind in the Sultanate of Oman, such as Aquarium Oman, snow park, and a centre for family entertainment.
Mahmoud Al Jarwani said that the group also began building the Palm Mall – Sahar with a total area of 40,000 square metres and consists of a medical centre, stores, cinemas and various facilities.
The implementation of the project is carried out as planned and will start operating in the third quarter of 2017.
