Coast Guard foils drug smuggling attempt off Mirbat, arrests five Yemenis

Muscat: Coast Guard Police boats, led by Dhofar Governorate Police, have apprehended a boat carrying five Yemeni nationals in the Wilayat of Mirbat while they were attempting to enter Omani territorial waters illegally.

The suspects were found in possession of a quantity of narcotics intended for smuggling and trafficking. Authorities confirmed that legal procedures against the individuals are currently being completed.
