Oman education: Minister of Manpower appoints technical college deans, assistants

Muscat: A number of appointments were announced by the ministry of manpower yesterday.
The appointments were announced by Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al Bakri, Minister of Manpower.
The decisions pertain to appointment in the technical education sector for the second session 2016/2020.
Deans of colleges
The first decision appointed deans of colleges as follows; the decision appointed Dr. Khalid bin Abdulaziz bin Khalid Ambosaidi, dean of the Higher College of Technology; Dr. Hafidh bin Taher bin Alawi Baomar, Dean of the Nizwa Higher College of Technology; Dr. Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Ali Al Muntheri, Dean of Salalah Higher College of Technology; Dr. Essa bin Saif bin Mohammed Al Toobi, Dean of Al Musana Higher College of Technology; Dr. Azza bint Ahmed bin Said Al Maskari, Dean of Ibra Higher College of Technology; Dr. Khalid bin Zayed Mohammed Al Mahrami, Dean of Shinas Higher College of Technology and Dr. Said bin Masaud bin Ali Kishoup, Dean of Ibri Higher College of Technology.
Assistant to deans
The second decision appointed assistant to deans of the colleges as follows; Mohammed Talat Ahmed Al Tarawna, assistant to dean of the Higher College of Technology for academic affairs; Dr. Bassam bin Khalil bin Hamdan Tabsh, assistant to dean of the Higher College of Technology for student affairs; Dr. Khalfan bin Abdullah bin Said Al Masroori, assistant to dean of Nizwa Higher College of Technology for academic affairs; Hamad bin Sultan bin Nasser Al Aufi, assistant to dean of the Nizwa Higher College of Technology for Administrative and Financial Affairs; Dr. Said bin Omar bin Mohammed Al Meshaikhi, assistant to dean of Salalah Higher College of Technology for academic affairs; Dr. Amal bint Ahmed Ajham Al Shahri, assistant to dean of Salalah Higher College of Technology for student affairs; Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Salim Al Washahi, assistant to dean of Shinas Higher College of Technology for academic affairs; Ali bin Abdullah bin Ali Al Alawi, assistant to dean Shinas Higher College of Technology for student affairs ; Ali bin Mahmoud bin Ahmed Al Balushi, assistant to dean of Shinas Higher College of Technology for Administrative and Financial Affairs; Dr. Ahmed bin Ali bin Ahmed Bait Qaitoun Al Shahri, assistant to dean of Al Musana Higher College of Technology for academic affairs; Younis bin Mohammed bin Saif Al Za’abi ,assistant to dean of Ibri Higher College of Technology for academic affairs; Nawal bint Mohammed bin Saif Al Sawafi, assistant to dean of the Ibri Higher College of Technology for student affairs;

The third decision assigned Dr. Khalid bin Salim bin Abdullah Al Abri as assistant to dean of the Higher College of Technology for Administrative and Financial Affairs; Dr. Essa bin Saleh bin Hamood Al Ameri, assistant dean of Ibra Higher College of Technology for student affairs; Ali bin Khalifa bin Ali Al Hakamani, assistant to dean of Ibra Higher College of Technology for Administrative and Financial Affairs; Munya bint Mohammed bin Said Al Farsi, assistant to dean of Al Musana Higher College of Technology for student affairs; Hamad bin Jumah bin Hamad Al Nuaimi, assistant to dean of Al Musana Higher College of Technology for Administrative and Financial Affairs; Ammar bin Salim bin Mohammed Al Shanfari, assistant to dean of Salalah Higher College of Technology for Administrative and Financial Affairs.
The decision also appointed Dr. Qasim bin Murtadha bin Ja’afar Al Marashi, as expert for technical education at the Directorate General of Technological Education at the Ministry of Manpower; Dr. Ali bin Saud bin Ali Al Mughairi, as assistant director general at the Directorate General of Technological Education at the Ministry of Manpower; This in addition to the decision appointing a number of heads of academic departments and heads of the departments at the colleges of technology.
