
Nizwa; Team Astana of Italy has been crowned champion of the 2026 Tour of Oman, following the dramatic conclusion of the fifth and final stage in the Wilayat of Birkat Al Mawz, A’Dakhiliyah Governorate. The prestigious race was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth in partnership with the Oman Cycling Association.
The official closing ceremony was held under the patronage of HH Sayyid Faris bin Fatik Al Said.
Italian rider Christian Scaroni of Team Astana secured the overall General Classification victory, delivering a commanding performance to win the decisive final stage.
In the fourth stage, Norwegian rider Erlend Blikra of Uno-X Mobility emerged victorious. Swiss rider Mauro Schmid of Team Jayco AlUla claimed the red jersey, while Polish rider Patryk Goszczurny of Team VISMA | LEASE A BIKE captured the gold jersey. French rider Baptiste Veistroffer of Team Lotto–Intermarché took the green jersey, and Norwegian Martin Tjøtta of Team Uno-X Mobility earned the white jersey for best young rider under 23.
Stage three saw Swiss rider Mauro Schmid of Team Jayco AlUla triumph, securing both the stage win and the red jersey. Patryk Goszczurny retained the gold jersey, while Baptiste Veistroffer added the green jersey to his tally. Martin Tjøtta again claimed the white jersey.
Stage two belonged to French rider Baptiste Veistroffer of Team Lotto–Intermarché. Eritrean rider Henok Mulubrhan of Team XDS Astana finished second, followed by Frenchman Thibaud Gruel of Team GROUPAMA-FDJ UNITED in third. Veistroffer claimed both the red and green jerseys, while Patryk Goszczurny secured the gold jersey. Thibaud Gruel was awarded the white jersey.
The opening stage was captured by Colombian rider Sebastián Molano of UAE Team Emirates, who also took the red and green jerseys. Colombian rider Fernando Gaviria of Team Caja Rural-Seguros RGA finished second, with Patryk Goszczurny of Team VISMA | LEASE A BIKE rounding out the podium in third and claiming both the gold jersey and the white jersey for under-23 riders.
