
Muscat: The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Fund 'Inma' has announced the start of receiving financing applications for the year 2026, as part of its ongoing efforts to enable entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to benefit from the Fund’s financing products and services, support their business projects, and enhance their role in supporting the national economy.
Yahya bin Saleh Al Siyabi, Head of Marketing at the “Inma” Fund, said that the total amount allocated to finance SMEs during the current year stands at OMR33 million, distributed among the Fund’s branches in Sohar and Salalah, in addition to its headquarters in Muscat.
He noted that the Fund will continue to operate under the existing mechanism in terms of procedures and requirements, ensuring continuity of support and facilitating access to financing services.
In a statement to the Oman News Agency, Al-Siyabi explained that the “Inma” Fund attaches great importance to small and medium enterprises as a key pillar of economic development in the Sultanate of Oman
He added that the Fund focuses on the quality and economic feasibility of projects regardless of sector, while continuing to support priority sectors, most notably tourism, services, infrastructure and transport, oil and gas, industry, and trade.
He pointed out that the Fund is keen to encourage SME owners to sustain and expand their activities by offering flexible repayment periods of up to eight years for some financing products, which helps ease financial burdens and supports business sustainability.
Al-Siyabi affirmed that the “Inma” Fund will continue this year to provide several benefits to its financed clients, including a field visit programme for SMEs aimed at monitoring projects on the ground, assessing performance, and offering guidance and advisory support, thereby enhancing growth and development opportunities.
It is worth noting that the total financing provided by the “Inma” Fund to small and medium enterprises during 2025 amounted to approximately OMR25 million, benefiting around 366 SMEs across various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.
