Active winds across Oman

Muscat: Various governorates in Oman including Muscat, have been witnessing active winds, according to the Public Authority for Civil Aviation.

In a statement online, Oman’s meteorology authority said: "Aerial images show the spread of low clouds over coastal areas of the sea of Oman and the Gulf Sea, with active monsoon winds (low clouds) on the coast and mountains in Dhofar."

”Currently there are active southern winds off the coast of Muscat, Southern, and northern Sharqiyah which has led to the rise of dust and reduction in the horizontal vision."

“The Meteorological station in Sur has recorded winds between 25 knots and 36 knots, while in Ras Al Hadd, winds were recorded between 35 knots to 45 knots,” the authority added
