Natural gas production, including imports, reach 52.136 billion cubic metres

Muscat: Total domestic natural gas production, including imports, reached approximately 52.136 billion cubic metres by the end of November 2025, marking an increase of 0.6 percent compared to 51.829 billion cubic metres recorded during the same period in 2024.

Preliminary statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) showed that associated gas production rose by 11 percent, reaching 11.737 billion cubic metres, while non-associated gas production, including imports, declined by 2.1 percent to 40.399 billion cubic metres.

Natural gas usage also recorded a growth of 0.6 percent, amounting to 52.136 billion cubic metres by the end of November 2025.

Gas consumption for electricity generation increased by 1.4 percent, reaching 14.274 billion cubic metres, while gas consumption in industrial areas rose by 11.6 percent. In contrast, gas consumption in industrial projects declined by 3.6 percent during the same period.
