Muscat: The gross domestic product of the Sultanate of Oman at current prices in the third quarter of 2025 “at market price” reached OMR10.414 billion, recording a slight decrease of 0.4 percent compared to the same period of 2024, which amounted to OMR10.454 billion.
Preliminary data issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information indicated that this decline is mainly due to the decrease in the performance of oil activities, as they declined by 6 percent to record OMR3.471 billion in the third quarter of 2025 compared to 3.693 billion in the same quarter of 2024.
In contrast, non-oil activities in the third quarter of 2025 achieved a growth of 2.5 percent, recording OMR7.291 billion, compared to OMR7.116 billion in the same quarter of 2024.
At the level of non-oil economic activities, construction activities witnessed an increase of 2.2 percent to record OMR817.400, while wholesale and retail trade activities increased by 2.1 percent to contribute OMR880.100, while public administration and defence activities recorded growth of 2.8 percent to reach OMR966.800 in the third quarter of 2025.
