For more than four decades, Shama Perfumes has shared a deep and enduring connection with the Sultanate of Oman.

Long before the brand entered the retail landscape of the GCC, distinguished Omani families made the journey to Bombay to experience Shama’s fragrances firsthand.

These early relationships became the foundation of a bond built on trust, respect, and shared appreciation for craftsmanship.
Founded in 1977, Shama began as a small artisanal perfumery dedicated to preserving the authenticity of Arabian scent culture. At its core lies Khashab Al Oud – the soul of the brand and a tribute to traditional perfumery. Over the years, Shama has evolved into a luxury house offering rare ouds, handcrafted mukhallats, perfumes, incense and fine fragrance oils, while staying true to the artistry and heritage that shaped its origins.

Shama’s love for Oman and its people made the choice of their first GCC flagship location effortless. The opening of Shama’s first flagship store at Opera Galleria in Muscat (2023) marked a milestone, celebrating heritage, culture and a shared appreciation for refined perfumery. The overwhelming response since then has shaped their continued journey in the country.

Following nine successful months at Mall of Oman with a pop-up boutique, Shama is proud to announce their second flagship store in Oman, opening in Sohar this January 2026, a city known for its history, warmth and traditional spirit. Shortly after, at the peak of Ramadan, Shama will open doors to their third flagship store inside Mall of Oman.

Each Shama space is thoughtfully designed: minimalist, modern and elegant, yet rooted in the cultural identity of its location. Every boutique includes a VIP room offering privacy and comfort, ensuring each visitor feels welcomed like a guest in our home. Shama’s exclusive scent library invites guests to explore fragrances at their own pace, from oud and attars to mukhallats and fine perfumes.
