
Dubai --- The Sultanate of Oman began its participation in the 46th edition of the Big 5 Global exhibition which kicked off today in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The participation includes 22 Omani companies operating in the construction sector, alongside member entities of the OPEX team.
Khalid Sulaiman Al Salhi, Director General of Marketing and Commercial Affairs at Madayn, said that the participation aims to boost Omani exports, open new markets for Omani industries in foreign markets, promote Omani products, and support SMEs by providing a platform to display their products and connect with international investors. It also aims to attract investments by promoting investment opportunities in the construction sector, in alignment with Oman Vision 2040.
He added that the factories participating in the exhibition aim to increase the competitive strength of their products in the foreign market and expand their commercial activity.
Participants will have the opportunity to introduce their products and the technologies used in their manufacturing, and Omani company owners will learn about the products of their counterparts in the construction sector and the development they have reached in terms of modern technologies used in production, packaging, and display mechanisms for consumers.
Lubna Mohammed Al Harthy, Director of the Exports Development Department at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, affirmed that the Ministry's participation, represented by Oman Exports within the OPEX team, in The Big 5 construction exhibition is part of the Sultanate of Oman's efforts to enhance the presence of Omani products in regional and international markets and support national companies in accessing new partnerships in one of the largest specialized exhibitions in the construction sector in the Middle East.
She added that the participation of 22 Omani companies reflects the continuous growth in this vital sector. It also confirms the Ministry's commitment to empowering the private sector and enhancing the readiness of Omani companies to enter new markets. Oman Exports works to create an effective participation environment that ensures Omani companies maximize their benefit from this international event through direct business meetings and communication with major investors and importers.
