Arab national held for modifying a vehicle taken on rent, attempting to sell in Oman

Muscat: The Al Dhahirah Governorate Police Command apprehended an individual of Arab nationality who had modified the features of his vehicle after taking on rent from a neighbouring Gulf country.

Royal Oman Police said: “The suspect had rented the vehicle from a Gulf country and, upon entering the Sultanate of Oman, replaced its license plates in an attempt to disguise its identity and mislead law enforcement authorities.”

ROP added “This act was reportedly carried out with the intention of disposing of the vehicle illegally.”

 Legal procedures against the individual are currently underway, ROP confirmed.
