
Jeddah: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, today in Jeddah signed the Hajj arrangements agreement for the Hajj season 1447 AH.
The signing of the agreement comes within the framework of the fraternal relations that unite the two countries and their keenness to regulate the affairs of pilgrims from the Sultanate of Oman.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Mohammed bin Said Al Maamari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs, and on the Saudi side by Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al Rabiah, Minister of Hajj and Umrah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The agreement aims to regulate the affairs of pilgrims from Oman (Omanis and residents) who perform the Hajj pilgrimage under the supervision of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs and who have been permitted to do so in accordance with the regulations and instructions approved by the authorities concerned in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The agreement stipulated the mechanisms for organizing the registration of pilgrims' data from the Sultanate of Oman on the "Masar" platform, booking camps, purchasing basic service packages in the Holy Sites, concluding contracts for services (transportation, accommodation, and catering), and the medical services provided by the Omani Hajj Mission. It also outlined the mechanism for grouping pilgrims in accordance with the approved grouping plans and the mechanism for their arrival and departure.
