Muscat: Citizens, sportspersons and leading diplomats in Oman have sent their best wishes to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said on the blessed occasion of the 49th Renaissance Day.
Renaissance Day, which was first celebrated on 23 July 1970, marks the occasion on which His Majesty Sultan Qaboos ascended to the throne, ushering the Sultanate into an era of unprecedented peace, development and prosperity.

Sheikh Nasser Al Mawali, Chairman of State Audit Institution said: “It is a great honour to congratulate His Majesty on behalf of all State Audit Institution members and employees on this glorious occasion, and we pray to God to send us health and blessings, and grant His Majesty a life of happiness and good health and a life of progress and prosperity for the Omani people.”
Marc J Sievers, Ambassador of the United States to Oman had this to say: “It has been my great privilege to be the Ambassador of the United States of America to the Sultanate of Oman, since January 2016. On the occasion of Oman’s 49th Renaissance Day, I would like to extend my warm congratulations to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, and to the Omani people. The United States and Oman are great friends and partners, and this will continue into the future.”
Munu Mahawar, Ambassador of India to Oman sent this message: “I extend warm greetings and the heartiest felicitations to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, and to the people of Oman on the occasion of Renaissance Day. Under His Majesty’s reign, Oman has evolved into a modern and prosperous nation. Sharmila Parajuli Dhakal, Ambassador of Nepal, said: “Namaste.
