Asian traveller held at Muscat airport with 8kgs of narcotics

Muscat: The customs officials at the Muscat International Airport, in cooperation with the General Directorate for Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, arrested an Asian national with eight kilograms of marijuana at the airport.

He had hidden the consignment in his travel bags for smuggling it into the country.

Legal procedures are being completed against him.
