Oman welcomes French President's recognition of Palestinian state

New York: The Sultanate of Oman has welcomed the announcement by the French President  Emmanuel Macron of his country's recognition of Palestinian state, during the proceedings of the international conference for resolving the Palestinian issue by peaceful means and the two-state, held in New York.

President Emmanuel Macron has announced France's formal recognition of Palestinian statehood, saying he supported "peace between the Israeli and Palestinian peoples."

Oman affirmed that this development constitutes an additional encouraging step on the path to the rights and justice for the brotherly Palestinian people.
