No tsunami alert due to quakes: PACA

Muscat: The earthquakes recorded in Iran and Indonesia yesterday do not have the potential to generate tsunamis, authorities said on Wednesday.

In a statement, the Public Authority of Civil Aviation (PACA) said, "No potential tsunami due to an earthquake in Southern Iran with magnitude 4.9 on the Richter scale."

The second earthquake occurred in Bali, Indonesia with a magnitude of 5.8.
