Muscat: A Qatar Airways flight from Delhi to Doha was diverted to Muscat on Monday after it developed "problems", according to a senior official.
Flight QR579 arrived in Hamad International Airport at Doha around 12 hours late after the re-routing. “As it developed some problems, the aircraft was brought to Muscat and the passengers were disembarked. Then an empty Qatar Airways aircraft was brought from Doha to Muscat and the passengers were sent back in that flight as passenger safety is our biggest concern,” the official said.
The aircraft which developed problems was sent back to Doha on Tuesday morning.
QR579 departs from Delhi at 3:30am and lands at Doha at 4.45am local time every day.
