Indian school Al Maabela organizes faculty development programme in Oman

Muscat: Indian school Al Maabela organized a Faculty Development Programme for the teachers on 1^st August 2016. The Chief Guest and Resource Person for the same was Mr. Varkey Vivian Cherian, Director of Finance at Golden Tulip Seeb Hotel, Muscat.
The programme began at 8:30am in the school Multi-Purpose hall. Mr. Cherian, who has over ten years of service in the educational field, made the teachers aware of their role in a world that has become a global village in the 21^st century. He stressed on the importance of values that are to be inculcated in the young minds. Teachers have to set themselves as examples and give thought out solutions for the students’ problems. Mr. Cherian also emphasized the importance of sex education in today’s world. Presentation and videos on the issues faced by teachers were shared. The teachers were immensely benefited from the programme.
