e-census takes part in Khareef Festival

Salalah: The Electronic Census of Population, Housings and Establishments 2020 is participating in Salalah’s Khareef Festival 2019 as part of its recently launched data update campaign, ‘your Data, your Identity’.
e-census 2020 will introduce the project and its objectives, highlighting the importance of updating information so to establish a comprehensive database that contributes to the Sultanate’s sustainable development plans.
“The project has made great progress in the data-matching phase. This has been possible due to the continuous support and cooperation of competent public and private sector authorities,” said Eng. Omar Al Ismaili, Director General of e-census 2020.
“Our participation aims to encourage community engagement and through it, we encourage people, including residents, citizens and institutions, to update their data so that we’ll be able to finalise an accurate and comprehensive national database.”
Al Ismaili further emphasised that the availability of data assists in determining people’s needs and thus contributing to the creation of national strategies for socio-economic development in the Sultanate.
The NCSI booth at the festival will feature videos about the project’s work mechanism, its visual identity, and information, as a means by which to raise awareness.
