Oman, India defence ministers hold talks

New Delhi: Sayyid Badr bin Saud bin Harib Al Busaidi, Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs yesterday conducted talks at the headquarters of the Indian Defence Ministry with Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister of Defence in the Republic of India.
The session discussed the existing cooperation between the two defence ministries and means of enhancing areas of cooperation to serve the joint interests between the two friendly countries.
The session was attended by Sheikh Hamad bin Saif Al Rawahi, Sultanate’s Ambassador to India, the Omani military attaché in India, the delegation accompanying Sayyid Busaidi and a number of military and civil officials at the Indian Defence Ministry.
On the sidelines of his visit, Sayyid Busaidi and his accompanying delegation paid a visit to the memorial of the Unknown Soldier.
He placed a wreath on the monument, while the Protocols Guard of the Indian Armed Forces gave a military salute to him. He also shook hands with senior officers of the Indian Armed Forces.
