Qatari Parliamentary Friendship Group visits State Council

Muscat: The Qatari Parliamentary Friendship Group from the Qatari Shura Council on Wednesday visited the State Council to exchange expertise and strengthen strategic cooperation ties between the Sultanate of Oman and the State of Qatar.

The delegation was received by Sheikh Dr. Hilal Ali Al Hinai, Vice Chairman of the State Council, Khalid Ahmed Al Saadi, Secretary-General of the State Council, and several officials from the General Secretariat.

During the visit, cordial discussions were held, highlighting the strong bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries. Both sides emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation between their legislative institutions.

The visiting delegation received a briefing on the Council's role, responsibilities, developmental milestones, key activities, achievements, and the operational mechanisms of its main bodies.

For their part, members of the Qatari Parliamentary Friendship Group expressed their gratitude to the State Council for the warm reception, praising the strong bilateral relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the State of Qatar.

At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation toured the Council's premises, where they were introduced to various facilities.
