Mahout— Construction work at the new Mahout Hospital in Al Wusta Governorate is progressing rapidly, aiming for completion by the end of this year. The facility will provide primary and secondary healthcare services to residents of Mahout and neighboring wilayats, with construction already 90% complete.
Eng. Yousuf Yaqoub Amboali, Director General of Projects and Engineering Services at the Ministry of Health, stated that work on the new Mahout Hospital is advancing smoothly. The project, spanning over 15,000 square meters, has achieved 90% completion and incorporates modern specifications in line with international standards to ensure a unique and contemporary design.
He added that the hospital will feature 54 beds and is being built on a 200,000-square-meter plot. Upon completion, it will enhance primary and secondary healthcare services for the local population and nearby villages, serving approximately 2,000 residents.
He noted that the hospital will include outpatient clinics, an emergency department, operating theaters, a maternity ward, medical laboratories, a radiology unit, inpatient wards, an intensive care unit (ICU), a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), a dialysis unit, and a services building. Additionally, the facility will be equipped with full electrical, mechanical, and air-conditioning systems, computer networks, and all necessary support services.
It is worth noting that Mahout Hospital will provide essential healthcare services to citizens and residents, saving time and reducing the need to transfer patients outside the governorate.
