Ibra: Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Dagestan, and his accompanying delegation visited the North A’Sharqiyah Governorate today as part of an official visit aimed at exploring avenues of cooperation and enhancing investments between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Dagestan.
The visit began with an official meeting, during which Mahmoud Yahya Al Dhuhli, Governor of North A’Sharqiyah, emphasized the importance of opening new horizons for cooperation between the two countries. He highlighted the governorate's wealth of high-quality investment opportunities in various sectors, including agriculture, tourism, industry, and education.
On his turn, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Dagestan affirmed his government's commitment to strengthening economic and cultural relations with the Sultanate of Oman, particularly in light of the ambitious development visions shared by both nations.
The visit included a visual presentation showcasing the key features of North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, along with specialized working papers on agriculture, tourism, mining, higher education, and manufacturing. The discussions focused on prominent current projects and future investment opportunities.
A dialogue session was also held to discuss mechanisms for joint cooperation and exchange perspectives on developing investment opportunities and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
The delegation toured Bidiyah Sands, where they explored the governorate's diverse tourism potential, reflecting the integration of its economic and tourism infrastructure.
The meeting was attended by some members of the State Council and the Shura Council, walis, and officials from the public and private sectors in the governorate, alongside a delegation from tOman Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Ibra Branch.
