Muscat: The activities of the third scout camp in Al Dhahirah Governorate commenced today at the Youth Complex in Ibri, organised by the General Directorate of Scouts and Guides at the Ministry of Education. The camp will continue until next Sunday.
A total of 85 scouts and 15 scout leaders from various scouting units across the governorate are participating in the event, which aims to enhance scouting activities and training programs in the region.
The opening ceremony included an overview of the scouting program, traditions to be followed during the camp, and the distribution of participants into groups while introducing them to their leaders.
The first day’s activities featured administrative and organizational tasks, including dividing delegations into sub-camps based on regions and schools, assigning responsibilities to scout leaders, preparing camp supplies, and distributing necessary tools for upcoming events.
Additionally, the sub-camps were practically set up under the supervision of scout leaders, helping participants develop essential skills in tent setup, teamwork, discipline, and organization.
