HM accorded official reception protocols in Russia

Moscow: An official reception ceremony was held at the Kremlin Palace in Moscow today for His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on the occasion of his state visit to the Russian Federation.

President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation led the welcoming party for His Majesty the Sultan, wishing His Majesty and the official accompanying delegation a successful visit and a pleasant stay.

Then, the Royal Anthem of Oman and the National Anthem of the Russian Federation were played.

After that, His Majesty shook hands with senior officials from the Russian side, while the Russian President shook hands with members of the official delegation accompanying His Majesty the Sultan.

Then, His Majesty the Sultan and the Russian President held a cordial meeting.

The two leaders then held an official session of talks at the Kremlin Palace in Moscow.

The session discussed the march of the advanced relations between the Sultanate of Oman and Russian Federation, as well as their fruitful cooperation and means of promoting the relations in various spheres to serve the joint interests. The two leaders also exchanged views on a set of issues and global developments.

The session was attended by members of the official delegation accompanying His Majesty the Sultan and several Russian officials.
