Amsterdam: As part of the state visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, a number of ministers and officials visited the Port of Amsterdam on Tuesday.
During the visit, areas of cooperation and investment opportunities between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the fields of green hydrogen, clean energy, and logistics services were reviewed.
Eng. Salim Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals, said: "The visit aims to inspect the site of the liquefied hydrogen receiving plant from the Sultanate of Oman in 2030."
He added that the visit included clarifications from all 11 operating companies from the Sultanate of Oman, the Netherlands, and Germany, noting that the companies affirmed their commitment to achieving the goal.
For his part, Abdul Salam Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority, affirmed that cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of the Netherlands is a result of mutual trust between the two parties, the producer and the importer, and that the efforts exerted have resulted in the signing of agreements between the two friendly countries.
