Muscat: As Oman prepares for the upcoming Eid holidays, travellers seeking new destinations have two exciting options: Nairobi and Rome.

SalamAir and Oman Air have recently launched direct routes to these cities, offering seamless connectivity and unique travel experiences.

SalamAir launched its first direct flight to Nairobi on Monday, solidifying Oman’s connection with East Africa.

The inaugural flight to Kenya’s capital was marked by a grand reception at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, attended by key officials from both nations.

Adrian Hamilton-Manns, CEO of SalamAir, emphasised the significance of this new route, highlighting its role in strengthening economic and cultural ties between Oman and Kenya.

Meanwhile, Oman Air’s latest route connects Muscat to Rome, marking a significant expansion for the national carrier.

With four weekly flights, this service opens doors for travellers eager to explore Italy’s historic capital while also serving as a crucial link for passengers connecting to the Far East, GCC, and the Indian subcontinent.

Con Korfiatis, CEO of Oman Air, described the Rome-Muscat route as a strategic move to enhance European connectivity and optimize fleet utilisation.

These new routes present exciting opportunities for travellers looking to make the most of the Eid break, offering fresh experiences in two vibrant destinations.

Whether it’s the breathtaking wildlife of Nairobi, home to the famous Maasai Mara National Reserve, or the historic charm of Rome, Oman’s airlines are making travel more accessible and convenient this festive season.
