Muscat: Oman’s U18 golf team recently brought home the gold medal from the GCC championship, marking a significant milestone for the country’s rising golfing talent.
Faiz Mohammad Riaz, Vice Chairman of the Oman Golf Association (OGA), praised the team’s achievement, highlighting their commitment, discipline, and teamwork as the key factors behind their success.
“The title victory is not just about a medal; it reflects the hard work, discipline, and commitment of our young golfers,” Faiz said.
“It’s a reminder that with perseverance, we can compete at the highest levels in the region. Our young champions have shown that with passion and effort, great things are possible.”
Faiz also took the time to acknowledge Adam, who earned a silver medal in the individual category. He commended Adam’s focus and determination, emphasising that his success is a lesson for all young golfers.
“Adam’s achievement is a result of his unwavering commitment and effort,” added Faiz. “He has set a high standard for others to follow, proving that success comes through consistent hard work and dedication.”
Looking ahead, Faiz encouraged Oman’s young golfers to continue striving for excellence, urging them to embrace challenges and pursue greater success. “This win should be just the beginning. Champions are not made in comfort, but through challenges.
Keep pushing your limits, continue to train with passion, and believe in yourselves,” Faiz added.
“The future of Omani golf is bright, and we are proud to support the next generation of talent.”
To celebrate the team’s success, OGA will present the winners with a token of appreciation at a ceremony soon.
Faiz concluded by reaffirming the OGA’s commitment to nurturing and developing young golfers in the country.
