SQU’s College of Economy and Political Sciences to organise conference on digital transformation

Muscat: Under the patronage of Dr. Said bin Mohammed Al-Saqri, Minister of Economy, the College of Economics and Political Sciences at SQU, in collaboration with the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-Up Office, is organising the 3rd International Conference on Business and Economics.

The event will take place at The St. Regis Al Mouj Muscat Resort from 17 to 18 February 2025, under the theme “Driving Digital Transformation and Connectivity for Sustainable Growth.”

This conference aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry by fostering collaborative links between scientific research and business. It provides an excellent platform for identifying new research areas, facilitating partnerships, and offering valuable networking opportunities across various business sectors.

Key discussions will centre on digital transformation and its impact on the economic cycle, the role of emerging technology enterprises in building an innovation-driven economy, the significance of global partnerships in achieving sustainable development, and strategies for economic diversification within the framework of Oman Vision 2040.

The conference will bring together officials, executives, entrepreneurs, economic researchers, and business leaders, alongside distinguished international speakers.

The programme will include panel discussions and presentations, featuring real-world case studies on building technology enterprises and their integration into global markets.

Around 50 research papers will be presented, addressing key challenges and opportunities in entrepreneurship and the digital economy. This makes the conference a valuable platform for exchanging insights and fostering strategic partnerships among participants.
