Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has received two written messages from President Sadyr Japarov of the Kyrgyz Republic and Adylbek Kasymaliyev, Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan dealing with the bilateral relations between the two countries.
The messages were received by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister when he received at the Foreign Ministry on Wednesday Jeenbek Kulubaev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgystan.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them in all areas of common interest, especially in the fields of mining, renewable energy, food security, as well as enhancing investment areas.
The two ministers discussed the latest regional and international developments and exchanged views on them.
They also underlined the consensus of their countries’ positions calling for the adoption of peaceful solutions to address issues and conflicts in a manner that contributes to enhancing security and stability and spreading the values of harmony among countries and peoples.
The two sides signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on political consultations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kyrgyz Republic. The meeting was attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashel Al Maskari, Acting Head of the Central Asia Department.
