Shaleem & Al Hallaniyat Islands: The Ministry of Health celebrated on Monday the opening of the Al Hallaniyat Health Center in the Wilayat of Shalim & Al Hallaniyat Islands in Dhofar Governorate under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed Mohsen Al Ghassani, Head of Dhofar Municipality.
The total cost of the project exceeds OMR1.3 million. The Centre, which spans a total area of 8,000 square metres with a building area of 861 square metres, includes two general clinics providing primary healthcare services and medical examinations.
It also features an examination and consultation room equipped with modern tools for accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment, an observation room with a medical bed for emergency cases, as well as radiology and sterilisation rooms. In addition, a dental clinic is available for oral and dental care.
The health centre also includes a maternity unit to ensure safe care for mothers and newborns, as well as a fully equipped maternal and child health ward to support women’s and children’s health on the island.
Additional facilities at the centre include a medical laboratory, pharmacy, a medicine storage room, reception areas, and waiting rooms for both men and women.
It is worth mentioning that the opening of this centre comes in response to the challenges faced by the local population and to meet their daily healthcare needs.
The residents previously struggled to access integrated healthcare services due to geographical isolation, making the provision of modern medical facilities essential to ensure a better quality of life for the community.
This move comes in line with the government’s commitment to providing healthcare services across all parts of Oman.
