Fifteen second-class public prosecutors take oath of office

Muscat: Fifteen second-class public prosecutors, comprising the “Development Batch”, took the oath of office at the Supreme Judicial Council today before Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Judiciary Council.

The ceremony was attended by Attorney General Nasr bin Khamis Al Sawa’ee.

The oath of office is taken in implementation of the text of Article (11) of the Public Prosecution Law issued under Royal Decree No. (99/92). It provides due permission to officially start judicial action and join the Public Prosecution Corps.

According to Article (10) of the Public Prosecution Law, it takes two years of study at the Higher Judicial Institute to complete the programme of Postgraduate Diploma in Judicial Sciences.
