Oman-UK Strategic Consultation Team holds meeting

Manah: The Sultanate of Oman today hosted the first meeting of the Omani-British Strategic Consultation Team. The meeting was held at Oman Across Ages Museum in the Wilayat of Manah, the Governorate of A’Dakhiliyah.

The first meeting of 2025 reviewed several topics related to investment, developing the business environment and exchanging views on investment cooperation opportunities, such as the two countries’ investment strategies and target sectors.The meeting also touched on the ongoing efforts to enhance investment attractiveness in the Sultanate of Oman. It also explored opportunities to form investment partnerships in the field of scientific innovation and green energy, as well as transferring knowledge on best practices in the field of promoting national identity and effective communication.

A number of departments concerned from the Sultanate of Oman and a delegation from the United Kingdom, including a group of representatives of government and private entities and consultants took part in the meeting. This comes as part of joint efforts to achieve cooperation in the economic, investment and development fields, with the prime aim of enhancing relations between the two countries.

On the sidelines of the meeting, some workshops and technical meetings were held to discuss aspects of cooperation in devising a clear vision for future generations through community participation, and developing a framework for skills and competencies at the sectoral level in alignment with the labor market and academic institutions, in addition to providing a supportive system for small and medium enterprises in the governorates. The outputs of the advisory study related to the green transformation were also presented.

This meeting comes to enhance the partnership between the two countries, expand horizons for cooperation and exchange knowledge and expertise in areas of joint interest to achieve the common economic and investment goals of both countries.
