Muscat: Muscat, the capital of the Sultanate of Oman, is the seventh safest city out of 382 cities around the world.
Muscat is only behind Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Manama, and Doha, besides Taipei. According to to Numbeo, the rate of crimes such as stolen cars, mugging, insults, attacks, physical attacks, drug crimes, vandalism, and armed robbery are very low in Muscat.
It also scores high when it comes to walking safely alone during day or night.
