Did you feel the tremor in Muscat?

MUSCAT: Residents of Muscat experienced a minor tremor on Sunday afternoon, as household items began shaking noticeably.

Many people, alarmed by the sudden movement, ran out of their homes in fear. "It was all shaking for some time," said a resident of Ruwi.

Residents of Wadi Kabir also reported feeling the tremor, confirming the unsettling event.

An earthquake, measuring 2.5 on the Richter scale, was recorded in Muscat, at 2.43 pm today, according to the Sultan Qaboos University Earthquake Monitoring Centre.

The quake’s epicentre was located approximately 3 km south of Muscat city a statement said.
