Muscat: The revenues of 3-5-star hotels in the Sultanate of Oman stood at OMR212.372 million until the end of November 2024, up by 4.9% compared to the same period in 2023.
Statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) show that the total number of hotel guests increased by 3.9% to 1,929,485 guests by the end of November 2024, compared to 1,857,729 guests during the corresponding period in 2023.
Meanwhile, hotel occupancy rate registered a growth of 1.5%.
According to the NCSI report, among nationalities, Omanis topped the number of guests in hotels, with their number reaching 739,406 (an increase of 4.9%).
As many as 466,827 were European guests (an increase of 4.7%), and 277,627 were Asian guests (up by 4.8%).
The number of guests from the GCC countries rose by 0.1% to 182,408, while the number of guests from Oceanian countries fell by 30% to 28,038 guests. The number of African guests rose by 6.4% to reach 11,108.
